Coopers Rock Estates Homeowner Association

WHAT’S NEW:

On Saturday, July 25th 2026, at 1:00 PM the Coopers Rock Estates Homeowner Association (CREHOA) membership will have a meeting at Dave Fillingham’s house, 378 Meadow Lane, Bruceton Mills, WV to discuss options for road improvements in the community.

BACKGROUND

As you have likely noticed, the condition of our roads has deteriorated substantially. CREHOA officers have met with several local contractors to obtain bids for performing repairs. We’ve also had fiber optic and utility locations marked in preparation for future work.

WHAT WE WILL BE DECIDING AT THE MEETING

The CREHOA board members will present a spectrum of options for road repairs reflecting different levels of longevity and costs over time. Clear Mountain Bank has given preliminary approval for a loan that would allow us to perform more long-lasting repairs such as crowning, ditching and possible replacement of some of our deteriorating culverts. The costs and benefits of these options will be discussed during the meeting, and the participants will choose among the options presented.

POWER LINE TREE TRIMMING

Arbor Metrics will be doing some power line tree trimming for Mon Power sometime over the next six months or so. They don’t have firm timelines yet. HOA property affected is the common area down by the concrete bridge, and the intersection of coopers rock and Meadow Lane. This trimming will be under the lines that serve us power. Last year a different company did the transmission line (not directly providing power to us).

They will likely use a helicopter for some of it. They are trimming overhead lines, so the buried lines will not be affected.
